Karissa's Solids & Jumperoo

Upon turning 4 months, we have ramped up Karissa to her first solid food - rice cereal - and have the video of her first venture with it. Obviously, she sees her mother's hand come her way and she immediately goes into nipple-receiving mode and is not quite sure what to make of the object protruding her mouth with a glob of goo is all about.
Afterwards in the video is a shot of her in her Jumperoo - the same little contraption that Kole once played in and has handed-down. It's perfect at this age to get her off her back and in an upright position. As you can see, she's extremely alert and is already manipulating toys and using her legs to support and gyrate herself.
It's scary how one morning last week Kathy walked into the kitchen with her one morning, and it's like Karissa had her head up while being held, locked eyes with me from way across the room as Kathy walked closer, and the closer the got the faster she recognized me and smiled. It was one of those moments like ... weren't you just a helpless little newborn last week? How did you grow up this fast??
Scary. But wonderful at the same time.
